TIPS FOR FASTER PACE OF PLAY

The following tips will make the game more enjoyable for everyone:

ON THE TEE:

Step into the tee box while the previous player is removing her tee. Tee up your ball as the player is leaving the teeing ground. It is possible to save 15 seconds per player just by following this tip, which means a foursome can trim 18 minutes from their round on the tees alone!

ON THE COURSE:

Set a brisk pace walking to your ball or the cart. Start planning your next shot as soon as your ball has landed.

If you are not sure which club to hit, bring two or more with you to your ball.  Be ready to hit your shot as soon as it is your turn.

Cart riders--please heed the pace of play warning on your screen and advise your foursome that the group has to pick up the pace.

Players in carts--drop your cart partner off at her ball and go to yours.  Don't both go to one ball and then both go to the other.

If your game is off, (over your allowed handicap on numerous holes), it is advised you drop the tournament and continue play for your handicap.

Play ready golf.  Don't wait for your cart mate to hit if she has to go back for another club, move the    cart, or rake a trap.  If she is not in harms way, play your ball.
